4. Kittens Are Born: We announce the litter number of kittens, and confirm the timing for selection and rehoming. Approximately 3 weeks after kittens are born, we contact those families who paid the deposit (in deposit order) to start looking at the kittens photos and videos on my Facebook page.
5. Decision time! Potential adopters choose (in order) at approximately 8 or 9 weeks old:
-When it is your turn in line to choose a kitten you have the option to reserve or pass. You can pass on kittens for any reason and keep your place on the waiting list for the next litter.
-We reserve the right to hold back a kitten for our breeding program before selections are made.
– If a kitten is selected: a kitten-specific purchase contract is drafted and signed.
6. Updates: We send photos, videos, and info as your kitten grows. Once the kitten has appropriate vaccinations we could discuss a short visit with your new kitten.
-Kittens are adopted after the 12 week point once they are weaned from their mother and have had their vaccinations. (Typically 13-14 weeks)
7. Pick-Up your new kitten: Full payment must be transferred before pick up.
- Contract is finalized and signed
NOTE: SpaySecure will administer the adoption contract and ensure the spay/neuter is completed once the kitten is appropriate age.
Breeder Right to Cancel (Kitten First): We reserve the right to cancel any contract at any time until the kitten leaves our home, if we judge it best for the kitten’s well-being. If we cancel, any deposit paid to us for that placement is fully refunded.
Our kitten prices are $2500-$4000 depending on breed features, gender, coloring, and polydactyl status. A deposit of $500 is required to reserve a kitten. We accept Interac E-Transfer only.

If unforeseen circumstances require that you cannot keep the cat/kitten any longer, the breeder (Silver Luna MC) will be notified and will try to assist in adequate re-homing.
Those wishing to adopt a kitten who are currently renting their living arrangements must provide a letter from their landlord approving pets in the home.
Declawing is not allowed.
The cat will not be allowed to roam freely outdoors. If the cat is allowed outside it will be an a leash and harness or an outdoor enclosure, such as a patio (Catio).
Failure to comply will result in voiding any and all health guarantees associated with this cat.
We ask that you take your kitten to the vet within 48-72 hours of them leaving us to verify with your vet they are healthy as part of our health guarantee. The Buyer will notify the Breeder of the exam results. Failure to comply will result in voiding any and all health guarantees associated with this cat.
They will need their 3rd set of vaccinations approximately two weeks after their arrival in their new home, but we will provide specific details for each kitten.
You must spay or neuter the cat as soon as unappropriate age is reached before sexual maturity. We suggest no later than 6 - 8 months of age.
Your new kitten needs to be separated for several days when coming into a new home with other pets, in order to properly introduce and socialize. It can be very
stressful for a young kitten. They need to be kept is a small area until they are comfortable with the new sounds and smells and any other pets. Introduce them slowly and with full supervision.
You will have to go in several times a day to play with your kitten.
This ensures they will have a safe room if they feel stressed and will learn where the litter is.
This introduction can take longer in some cases. Failure to do this can cause existing pets and your new kitten to feel stressed, this can result in aggression, peeing in the house and behaviour problems.

Silver Luna MC baby kittens are pure Maine Coon lineage, TICA registered, vet-checked and come with a written sales agreement and health guarantee. Once you supply proof of the kitten spay or neuter we will release the TICA breed registration papers.
Kittens will have all required vaccines. Their parents/ancestors are HCM/PKD tested by DNA, tested for Hip Dysplasia by X-Ray, and DNA full panel gene tested with Optimal Selection.
The Breeder does not vaccinate for Rabies and does not recommend administering it before six (6) months of age. No guarantees are made regarding Coronavirus (feline) testing, as current tests are non-specific and cannot distinguish between strains. There is no guarantee against FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).
We will support you and answer questions to the best of our ability.
We encourage adoptive families to share photos and updates as their kitten matures.
